I was Goodwill shopping a few weeks ago with my grandson. He is enamored with my collection every time he is over to the house, and wanted desperately to have a racing wheel controller for his PS2 system back home. What would we find but an in-the-box PSX/N64 racing wheel/pedal set for $5. I picked it up and in looking through the box, found a cool adapter included for taking the original PSX controller connector and changing it over for N64 use. Well, my brain immediately started considering the options, and visions of playing my N64 system with a Dual Shock Sony controller began dancing in my head. Here is a picture of the adapter:
I kept it from my grandson because he does not own a N64 and won't have use for it.
So, tonight, I finally tried it out, and each controller came up with "No Controller Found" message on my TV screen. I tried it with Sony brand Dual Shock, original digital-only PSX controller, and a Interact version of the Dual Shock. No dice. I am bummed.
