Power Glove

Was it a viable controller in the slightest? I think it was designed for a game called Super Glove Ball and maybe one other. Were there any other games where it was useful? Anyone with experience with the NES Power Glove?

You don't hear much about this controller. It was considered a commercial failure and neither it nor the games for it sold very well.

I had friend who had one. He used it a few times when we played. Always seemed more like a hassle to hook up and wear.

Funny, I remember something about the Power Glove being available in different sizes. Not sure it was one size fits all.

I was given one a few years ago, size medium. Unfortunately, the plastic positional sensor framework that comes with it is broken on mine. Because of that, I have never been able to try it out.

So they were made in different sizes. Wonder if the parts are interchangeable or made in length for each size?

A friend of mine had one back in the day.  When I used it, I set it to just curl the fingers for the A/B buttons and use the D-Pad on the glove.  The stupid sensor bar had to be mounted down one side of the TV as well as across the top, and of course it would often fall off!

Just not worth it.  Even its feature in the two hour commercial movie The Wizard couldn't save it.
