So, how many intv fans are here?

Just curious how you guys found this forum.

I have been hooked since I played BurgerTime back in the early 1980's.

I had been searching for Intellivision forums and most were not being updated so I gave up searching. Then fast forward a few years and Donkey Kong Arcade started making news. I did a search and found this nice site!

Y, I was searching for Intellivision forums a few years back and stumbled on one I mistook for active (don't remember the name). Unfortunately, it had been taken over by spam-bots. I still occasionally receive spam in my email inbox from that site.

Pardon me but as Curly would say Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!

I recently got an Intellivision, so I was looking for Intellivision forums. After searching online I found Intellivision Revolution, which linked to this forum.

I stumbled across this forum, I think from a link of a link when I was buying D2K.

Been a lover of the system since I played Armor Battle in 1979. I have I think 120 carts + overlays. I know I will never reach the 125 mark, but that's OK.

Welcome aboard, maximc. Sounds like you are nearing completion of the Intellivision set. Do you collect for any other systems?

Been a while since you have been back. What kept you away?

I've been a Intellivision Fan since I got one for Xmas in the early 80s maybe 2 or 3 years before the crash and still play the Intellivision 2 I now have because my orginal Intellivision no longer wors along with the Sears Super Video Arcade, Intv System 3 and another original Intellivsion I have that all stopped working, I think the voltager regulator goes bad on them. I'm using Sears controllers on my INTV 2 becaise the INTV 2 controllers are CRAP. I have the Cuttle Cart 3 so it's better then the Flashback because I have all the games and I am playing them on the real thing with the correct sound effects and not problem with Tower of Doom not working.

Sounds like you have a nice set of Intellivision consoles, tasdude. It is sad that most of them don't work. I hear the Sears controllers are very good. I was looking for some lose ones but I'm no using the Flashback controllers with my Inty 2.

Why can't you edit your posts after they have been posted? If you discover you made a typo or mistake you should be able to go back and fix it. You can with You Tube.

I think the forum only gives you a limited time window to edit but I'm not 100% certain. Many forums do this.

I would love for this to be the main forum for Intellivision fans.  Not to exclude other gamers or anything.  It's just that clicking over to "Atari" Age for our discussions is kinda like plugging one of those cheap black joysticks with the red button into the Intellivision II to play Astrosmash.  Yes, it can be done.  However, even if we could put the 35 year-old rivalry and the general sense of absolute sacrilege aside, it just doesn't feel right.

I agree. I'm not sure why the Intellivision crowd doesn't move to post more here. This is, after all, a forum dedicated primarily to the system and its games. It does feel odd that Atari Age is where most of the chatter happens. Isn't it supposed to be an Atari forum?

I think it's great to have forums like this, but I'm a big Intellivision fan who is also a big fan of many other systems. So I'm happy that so many serious forums are on AtariAge because I don't have time to visit 5 places a day. I can just see 'what's new' and find cool threads about Intellivision and other systems to check out.

I kind of feel like this forum software should allow forums to have overlap from different sites.

Big fan here...had my console/games since I was a kid...decided recently to buy games I never played and found out about homebrews. Playing Intellivision daily! D2K rocks!

I've been a huge fan since I first saw the system in August of 1980 when I was in the mall with my dad and brother.

My dad sprung for a system and 5 carts which was a HUGE amount of money in those days. It was owned by my brother and me, but eventually, I took it over as my brother lost interest and I kept adding carts.

Eventually, I got involved in creating the world's first emulator by doing some tech support for Carl Mueller who wrote it, and then later even started publishing games. DK Arcade is dedicated to the memory of my father who started it all.

Even though better systems came out and more complex games and PS3's and so on, I've never lost the enjoyment of playing Intellivision games. It seems I'm not alone.

I'd been mostly out of the loop after the release of Samegame & Robots, up until 2018.  It wasn't until recently, when Rev posted a link to this site from Instagram, that I even knew about it.

As you can see, the forum has been around for a while but it has been rather quiet. It just had a facelift and hopefully more folks come visit.

I was surprised to see there had been people here since the beginning of 2012. I thought this was something new at first.

No reason not to have another forum though. I often wondered why so many people on the Intellivision scene were collaborating on a site with "Atari" in the title (AtariAge).

I wondered the same thing. It would make sense for a forum focused on Intellivision to be the main forum for people interested on the system.
