As for a favourite....

Those of us with collecting OCD will end up with both (some with multiple copies), so it really is a moot point.

my wonder is why no-one has thought to do a Mattel "arcade" box in the purple to team up with lonely Vectron.

That is a very good point about the purple box, stc2009. I always liked the Sears boxes as well. Must be the different colors that look nice together on a shelf.

I happened to get the last physical copy available at CollectorVision a few years ago. That was a pleasant surprise when I played it! Tough game though; I still haven't made it very far.
