I can play a game, but only without sound.  The games display a movable sound pointer, but no audible sound is heard.
Perhaps newer TV sets do not have A/V inputs.

No A/V? I guess they are starting to move away from that and just adding more HDMI ports. I believe you an find adapters, though, that will let you connect A/V through HDMI.
