I seem to have all the weird things happen in my video game collecting.
Recently, I paid an well known AA'er for Colecovision mods. He shipped me the modded console and I got no video output to my TV through his A/V mod. I returned it, he was nice and reimbursed shipping fees, and it came back still not giving a good video feed to my TV through RCA output. Now, I don't know what to do. I do not have another TV with component jacks in my primary home to try it out, so will have to wait until we travel to our 2nd home in a month or two to test it on another set. What are the odds of me having the only TV in the world that does not work with this A/V mod?
About a year back, I ordered a N64 game from Lukiegames through ebay. They proceeded to email me and tell me they had already sold the game, but were 'nice enough' to offer to hold my money until they got another in stock. Say what?! I'm no fool, so told them to refund my money right away, and let them know negative feedback was coming. Well, Lukiegames is conniving. They simply canceled the auction before I could post negative feedback, and it would not let me enter any feedback. There is a reason Lukiegames has such a falsely inflated feedback rating on ebay.
Only a couple weeks ago, I ordered two games through Trade n' Games site. I waited and waited and no package arrived. After a week, I called the phone number posted on their site. The guy I talked to assured me that the order had been shipped out the day before. Unfortunately, I did not get a name for this person. I waited another week and still no package. This time, I contacted Trade n' Games through their HTML contact link. I received an apologetic email stating that they had misplaced my order and had not filled it yet. WHAT?! Why did the guy the week before tell me it had already shipped? I really wanted theses games, so asked them to ship right away. They did, and the games arrived yesterday.
Just me, or does Twilight Zone stuff happen to others while trying to collect video games?
