I seem to have all the weird things happen in my video game collecting.

Recently, I paid an well known AA'er for Colecovision mods. He shipped me the modded console and I got no video output to my TV through his A/V mod. I returned it, he was nice and reimbursed shipping fees, and it came back still not giving a good video feed to my TV through RCA output. Now, I don't know what to do. I do not have another TV with component jacks in my primary home to try it out, so will have to wait until we travel to our 2nd home in a month or two to test it on another set. What are the odds of me having the only TV in the world that does not work with this A/V mod?

About a year back, I ordered a N64 game from Lukiegames through ebay. They proceeded to email me and tell me they had already sold the game, but were 'nice enough' to offer to hold my money until they got another in stock. Say what?! I'm no fool, so told them to refund my money right away, and let them know negative feedback was coming. Well, Lukiegames is conniving. They simply canceled the auction before I could post negative feedback, and it would not let me enter any feedback. There is a reason Lukiegames has such a falsely inflated feedback rating on ebay.

Only a couple weeks ago, I ordered two games through Trade n' Games site. I waited and waited and no package arrived. After a week, I called the phone number posted on their site. The guy I talked to assured me that the order had been shipped out the day before. Unfortunately, I did not get a name for this person. I waited another week and still no package. This time, I contacted Trade n' Games through their HTML contact link. I received an apologetic email stating that they had misplaced my order and had not filled it yet. WHAT?! Why did the guy the week before tell me it had already shipped? I really wanted theses games, so asked them to ship right away. They did, and the games arrived yesterday.

Just me, or does Twilight Zone stuff happen to others while trying to collect video games?

Boy talk about having bad luck on several things. I've been pretty lucky to date and only had one issue with one Atari homebrew I prepaid for which I never got. This was someone on AA and there are a whole lot of us in the same boat.

Weird about your Coleco Vision. Did it work fine with the original output? I'm assuming it was tested by the person doing the mod before sending it out to you, right?

That stink with the AA homebrewer who scammed you and others. Is the person still active on AA boards?

The CV worked, and still does, fine with RF (the original output). I was just hoping for clarity that composite video brings. Modder tested it before shipping it back both times. He is reputable and sells lots of these mods, so I believe him, but why does my TV not accept the video signal? Every other game system, VCR, or DVD player I plug to those ports displays fine. Go figure.

That is indeed weird with the CV. Makes you wonder what is wrong that other equipment can transmit the signal no problem for the TV but the CV can't. At least you still have the RF output until you can figure it out.

The AA homebrewer has vanished from AA, leaving a bunch of us hanging.
